Biography
Dr. John Laugesen defended his thesis at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business in August 2013. His research focused on the adoption of electronic personal health records by chronic disease patients, integrating Protection Motivation Theory and Task-Technology Fit. Following his oral defense, he was recommended for prestigious awards, including the Governor General’s Academic Medal and the CAGS/UMI Distinguished Dissertation Award. John has over 17 years of work experience, including managerial roles at IBM Canada Ltd. and KPMG Management Consulting. He also has extensive teaching experience at various institutions.
