Nicole Johnson
Biography
Nicole is a Professor in the Social Service Worker Program at Sheridan College. With 12 years of teaching experience, she specializes in clinical and practicum stream courses. Nicole’s commitment to student engagement is evident through her initiatives, including the Social Justice and Action Committee (SJAC), the Student Advisory Council (SAC), and the Wellness Strategies Working Group (WSWG). She brings over 20 years of experience in the social service worker field, focusing on trauma/violence against women and children. Her formal education includes a BA in Psychology/Sociology, a Diploma in Assaulted Women and Children’s Counselling Advocacy, and a master’s in education. Nicole is a certified trainer in Non-Violent Physical Crisis Intervention (CPI) and a Compassion Fatigue Specialist.
