Description
An award-winning musical about life backstage. Seventeen dancers competing for a spot in the “chorus line” open up about their ambitions and share personal stories when they are prompted by Zach, the director and choreographer, after the first round of cuts for the musical. The confessions are drawn from a collection of dancers’ stories as told to and shared by fellow dancer and choreographer, Michael Bennett.
With such hits as, “I Can Do That”, “What I Did for Love”, “Adolescence” and “One”, every vocal performance, singularly and harmoniously, allowed each performer to show their ability.
Music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban.
