Abstract

This promotional video highlights details of a research visit undertaken by professor Abdulla as part of the major EU-H2020-is3DMIMO (Indoor Small-Cell Networks with 3D MIMO Array Antennas) project. Abdulla and colleagues traveled to P.R. China and Hong Kong with the objective of fostering research collaboration with wireless engineering scholars and experts in the EU that are funded by the European Commission and their counterparts in China. Destinations included Beijing, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, with visits to four research institutes (Tsinghua University, Beijing Univ. of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Harbin Institute of Technology, and Huawei Hong Kong. During the visits, six research seminars on the topics of telecom engineering, fine-grained reliability for V2X communications, and spatial correlation of shadowing for movable small-cell networks.
