Design Concept
For my design my focus was to be conscious of the cost and utilize as much the existing building as possible. I limited the amount of plumbing fixture relocation and did a small ground floor bump out to provide an immediate decontamination area off the apparatus bay and separate the two companies of fire fighters. The office areas were reconfigured to allow the chiefs to have better sleeping areas and a small update to the day room was done. The exterior was than updated to give the fire station a more modern look.
