Abstract
The research aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the experiences and challenges encountered by professional caregivers as they support older adults transitioning into long-term care. This study is particularly significant given the critical nature of this transition phase in the lives of older adults, where effective support is essential for their overall well-being. By gaining insights directly from professional caregivers who are actively involved in this process, the research identifies key areas that require improvement. The study employed a qualitative methodology, conducting virtual interviews with four professional caregivers who are directly engaged in supporting older adults within long-term care facilities. The key findings of the research highlight various strategies that could facilitate a smoother transition for older adults into long-term care settings. Additionally, the study underscores the necessity for enhanced training and resources to address the emotional and psychological challenges that caregivers face. An in- depth analysis of the current services and potential strategies for their improvement is also presented in this study, offering valuable insights for everyone involved in long-term care.
