Description
This project begins with the early history of climate control technology and its development, specifically the creator of the first electric air conditioning unit, Willis Carrier. The project then delves into the reaction to air conditioning that the general public had in the first half of the 20th century, and the populations embracing of it. Lastly, the project covers modern day perceptions and concerns surrounding, specifically the topics of health impacts of air conditioning, social implications of unaffordable climate control, the environmental impact of A/C, and the energy strain that air conditioning puts on society.
