Rehab Alarfi was born and raised in Damascus, the capital city of Syria, and is the mother of six children. She immigrated to Canada due to the civil war. Among her greatest hobbies is painting. Rehab, who had difficulty allocating time for painting because of her busy work schedule and her children in Syria, has the chance to devote much more time to painting in Canada. She likes to help people, so she aims to study Social Work after graduating from the ESL program. She never forgets her father’s advice: “Books are your best friends.”
