Frontispiece illustration for Toni Morrison's "Beloved"
The frontispiece illustration in the Folio Society 2015 edition of Pulitzer Prize winning novel Beloved by Toni Morrison depicts characters Sethe and Paul D. Chosen by the Folio Society to illustrate their edition of the book, artist Joe Morse won Toni Morrison's personal approval with an "audition painting" that eventually became the frontispiece.
Joe Morse created nine full-page colour illustrations for Beloved and designed the cover illustration. The illustrations are watercolour on paper, finished using digital techniques.
