Description
Although advising and dispensing of pain-relieving medication (PRM) is not within the purview of many sport health care providers, many are asked by athletes to provide such medication. Sport health care providers indicated that they appreciated having more information to relay to their athletes. This study adds to supporting more educational initiatives for sport health care providers to recognize misuse and provide information related to PRM and opioids.
