Abstract
This study investigated the gaps and challenges transgender, and non-binary students may face in accessing and utilizing sexual violence services on post-secondary campuses. Qualitative data was collected from seven sexual violence service providers at post-secondary institutions, through interviews. The research highlights the barriers transgender and non-binary students face when accessing services, such as possible discrimination and being outed. The research also highlights the services they currently provide, what is missing, and what recommendations the providers could suggest if they had the option to change things. This research is important as it brings awareness to post-secondary institutions about how intersectionality is crucial to addressing and
navigating sexual violence services. Post-secondary institutions are encouraged to have more representation on their sexual violence teams, including student voices, and have mandatory intersectionality and gender identity training for all staff and faculty.
