Description
Our project is a story map with points in specific areas where major points of Benjamin Vaughan’s life are located, especially his claims against slavery abolishment. Ranging from Jamaica to England and France, we aim to show that racism and anti-black sentiments were part of Vaughan’s ideals and part of the cultures that he participated in at the time. By following Vaughan’s life through where he was at the time, one can see the full picture of anti-abolitionism in the early 1800s.
